Evening
Falls |

|
Softly darkness
falls,
We are cradled in the valley low,
Sun ebbs slowly from view,
Blushing skies turn to indigo. |
|
|
Swaying of the leaves, caressing breeze,
Evening dance of mountain trees,
Golden cliffs reach high to catch the sun,
Evening finds us on our own,
With the mountains as our home. |
|
|
Blue gum silently stands,
Branches reaching to the canopy,
Tea-tree, Mountain Ash,
Ever growing through the centuries. |
|
|
Creatures of the bush come into view
Currawongs and lizards too.
Celebrating in the twilight hush
Evening finds us on our own,
With the mountains as our home. |
