We Dream Of A World
A Collection of Songs of Hope

Written and recorded for Australian Choirs
 

“We Dream Of A World” is a collection of contemporary choir music by Roy Meredith, which is evocative and yet simple. Whilst being melodic and lilting, the melody stays in a range which suits most children. This resource has ten beautifully constructed songs on two CD’s.

You are supplied with:

  •  One CD with vocals
  •  One CD with performance
     backing tracks                        
  •  Piano and guitar chord charts
  •  Vocal melody and harmony charts
  •  Lyrics

The arrangements on the CD are designed to allow you to expand them with your own ideas. There are times where we used a solo voice when in reality the whole choir could sing in unison. There are also harmonies and counter melodies for the more competent choirs. Music For Schools also offers the service of recording your choir/s performing these songs.

Roy Meredith Graduated in 1986 from Macquarie University with B.A. Dip. Ed. in primary teaching.

Formally the Head of Middle School at St Philip's Christian College, Gosford and now composing and producing music. He is also providing educational consultancy. Roy has led numerous school bands and choirs, is a multi instrumentalist (playing drums, guitar, piano, brass and bass) and is an extremely talented songwriter, producer and arranger.

He has been associated for 10 years with Logosdor, a Christian media company who have produced curriculum and music for children for a worldwide market. Their products include 'Oasis', 'Kidsgames' and 'Max7'. 

Roy's Highlights in Songwriting:

  • Theme song for world wide 'Kids games' organisation: 'Skoot Zoot'
  • Theme song for World wide children's network conference: 'We dream of a world'.
  • Training video music for 'Samaritan's Purse'
  • More than 30 songs for Oasis childrens' curriculum. Compiled on albums called 'The Best of Oasis' and 'Totally Unexpected'. (see logosdor.com.au)
  • 6 songs for International 'Kids games'.
  • Songs for Bible society: 'Active and alive' and 'Totally Unexpected'.
  • Choir songs which have won the Central Coast eisteddfod. (Co-written with Rob Weule, John Newsome, Paul Butler, Andy Sorrenson and the whole Meredith clan).
  • Co-written and produced 2 albums with school students; 'Take a Squiz' and 'Hotcakes'.
