Party Checklist
 

Prior to the Party to ensure all goes smoothly, I have prepared a Performance Party checklist.

First, you need to invite your friends. You can download and print one of our invitations or send your own.

I will email or post a confirmation letter with a list of Backing Tracks. Please review the song list provided and let me know your selection in advance or if you have something specific in mind that you would like to record that is not on the list, let me know and we can discuss other options.

If your party group is not well versed with the lyrics of the song you have selected and if time allows it’s a good idea to send out lyrics with the party invitation.  If you wish to do so, contact me and I will provide them in advance of the party, otherwise I will bring lyric sheets with me on the day. You can also find lyrics via the internet using “Google” search – just type in the “Song Name”….(space)…“Artists  Name”…(space)…then…“Lyrics”.

Guests may like to prepare skits or messages to include on the CD and if this is desirable, they should be encouraged to do so in advance to reduce rehearsal time and optimize recording time at the party.  (It may even be worth mentioning this on the invitation to encourage kids to put their thinking caps on ahead of the party).

Give some thought to party guests, talents ahead of time and advise me if you feel it is appropriate to feature particular soloists, duets or trios on my arrival.

 Directly following the hour and a half long recording session, I will do the Pop Star photo session to take the pictures of the party group, a selection of which will then be used on the front and inside cover of the CD.  To enhance this activity and build the party theme, you may want to invite guests to come dressed as Pop Stars. 

Personalizing the back CD covers is a fun and creative part of the Performance Party.  Kids may simply like to play pop-stars signing autographs and writing messages on the CD covers or others might want to get very creative with decorating these back covers.  You will need to have plenty of pens and/or coloured markers on hand for this activity and if so desired, sparkles and stickers etc. so that the kids can get creative.

It is also a good idea to think up a group name for the CD cover – you can let that be known before or on the Party day. 

And for the finale….You can look forward to receiving your professionally recorded CD complete with full colour cover for each party guest usually a week to ten days after the party.
